As per the amendment in Article 27 (1) of the Purbanchal University Act, 2050, the Dean will be appointed by the Executive Council as per the provisions of Science and Technology, Engineering and Arts, Law and Education faculties. The appointment process should be made transparent for the vacancies in the faculties mentioned as eligible Nepali citizens can send their applications via email.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Must be a faculty professor or associate professor related to this university or accredited university.
2.The application must be accompanied by personal details and a four year Academic Vision Statement.

Also, as per the decision of the Executive Council, Purbanchal University; Information Technology, Agriculture, Forest and Environment, Animal Science and Engineering programs have been made more effective and timely for the development, expansion, and promotion of these disciplines. Along with that, the educational programs in the field of animal science have been placed under the Faculty of Science and Technology, and all the engineering programs in the field of engineering have been placed under the Faculty of Engineering
