Pokhara University, School of Engineering, Kaski invites applications from all qualified candidates in the vacant post of Research Assistant on a contract basis. School of Engineering (SoE). Pokhara University has been carrying out research activities at various level. At this stage, APN-GCR (Interlinkage of Ecosystem Services and Human Wellbeing to Enhance Climate-Smart landscapes in Small Watersheds: Analysis for policy-relevant solutions in South Asian Context) is one of the ongoing research projects with a focus on the water environment & its linkage with human wellbeing in Nepal. In this regard, SoE calls for the submission of an application with a cover letter and academic credentials within one week from the date of publication of this notice.
Terms of Reference
In consultation with the project coordinator, the research assistant shall conduct the following tasks (but not limited to):
- Support planning, implementation and day-to-day management of the ongoing research projects.
- Data collection and analysis necessary for project activities
- Report writing, publications and presentations
- Communicate with project partners
- Support in organizing events (research workshops), field visits necessary for project completion
- Proposal writing for generating research funds
Eligibility
At least Bachelor in Civil engineering (or equivalent) with good command in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and basic knowledge of GIS
Duration: 6months with the possibility of extension.
Remuneration: Daily wage (maximum 5 days in a week@ 8hrs) as per Kaski district rate for 3rd class officer (civil engineer)
