The Government of Nepal, Ministry of Home Affairs, Nepal Police Headquarters, Welfare Division, Naxal, Kathmandu, has issued a Notice of Call for Applications for the Appointment of a Legal Advisor.

To appoint a Legal Advisor on contract service in Nepal Police Welfare Fund, Naxal, interested Nepali citizens who meet the following qualifications may apply within 7 (seven) days (B.S. 2081 Magh 14, or the next day if that day falls on a public holiday) from the date of publication of this notice (B.S. 2081 Magh 14, or if that day falls on a public holiday) to Nepal Police Headquarters, Welfare Division, Naxal from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM or submit a scanned copy through kalyan@nepalpolice.gov.np. This notice has been published for the information of all concerned.

Position: Legal Advisor

Minimum Qualifications for Candidates:

Candidates must possess the following qualifications for the post of Legal Advisor of the Police Welfare Fund:

  • Must have completed a Master's degree in Law from any university or institute,
  • Advocate or Senior Advocate with at least ten years of professional experience,
  • Not convicted of a criminal offense,
  • Not a member of any political party at the time of application,
  • Not having any conflict of interest with the Fund,
  • Must have completed 35 years of age and not exceeded 55 years of age on the last date of application.

Documents to be submitted with the application:

  • Self-attested copy of Nepali citizenship,
  • Self-attested copies of documents related to educational qualifications,
  • Certified copies of documents showing experience in working in government/non-government offices, (d) Self-declaration letter as per clauses (c), (d) and (e) of point 1,
  • Commitment letter to work full-time in the fund for the term of office of the post if selected as a legal advisor.

Note

  • Basis of evaluation: Interview.
  • Application may be canceled: If any incorrect or false documents are found to have been submitted, the selection committee may cancel the candidate's application at any stage.
  • The legal advisor's tenure, service conditions, and facilities Will be as per the Police Welfare Fund Operation Procedure, 2080.
