The program aims to enhance the availability and reliability of electricity, maintain road quality, and facilitate power trade to stimulate investments and accelerate economic growth. The Internal Control/Compliance Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in tasks related to internal compliance, audit planning, and risk management.

Legal Advisor: One position based in Kathmandu
The Legal Advisor is responsible for the analysis of legal matters, drafting legal documents, and advising/assisting in the implementation of Compact and legal compliance. The Legal Advisor reports to the Chief Legal Officer.
Position Requirements:

Completion of Advanced University Degree in Law (Juris Doctor); and must be qualified and certified in good standing to practice law in Nepal.

Specialized experience in the provision of legal advice with a particular emphasis on commercial contracting and labor law.

Approximately five (5) or more years of relevant experience working at a law firm or as legal counsel, preferably with experience serving as in-house counsel and experience working in a law firm or as a legal counsel in Nepal.
Assistant to DED-Project Delivery: One position based in Kathmandu
The Assistant provides support to the project teams in a range of administrative services, including organization of event logistics, travel arrangements, and record maintenance of project inventories and filing systems. The position supports all project teams and reports to DED-Engineering.
Position Requirements:

Completion of a bachelor’s degree; and/or Executive Assistant Certification or equivalent Diploma, Degree, or Certification.

Three (3) to five (5) years of cumulative experience in General Office Administration & Management (notwithstanding whether earned before, after, or during pursuit of required academic qualification).
Eligibility:
- Bachelor's Degree (minimum) from a recognized institution in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Commerce, Finance, Financial Control, Business Administration, Business Management, or equivalent.
- CA or CPA certificate is a plus.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive professional experience in managing finance functions, preferably in international development, donor, or governmental organizations.
- Knowledgeable about taxation issues, especially those relevant to projects.
- Excellent command of English and Nepali languages, both written and spoken.
