The Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology (CMLT) program prepares students to become skilled medical laboratory technicians who play an essential role in disease detection, diagnosis, and treatment. This program equips learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to perform complex laboratory procedures, including chemical, biochemical, hematological, immunological, microscopic, and bacteriological tests that are crucial for accurate medical decision-making.
Graduates of this program can explore diverse career opportunities in government and private hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, pathology departments, research centers, NGOs, and INGOs. With proper expertise, they also have the potential to establish and operate their independent diagnostic laboratories, offering services to local communities.
As medical laboratory testing continues to be a fundamental pillar of the healthcare system, qualified technicians are in high demand both in Nepal and abroad. Eligibility
Students with at least an overall GPA grade of 2 and a compulsory ‘C’ grade (2 GPA) in Science, Math, and English in class 10′ are eligible to apply. After passing the entrance exam successfully, students will be enrolled in the chosen program.
