Shankharapur Municipality is one of the 11 municipalities in Kathmandu District of Bagmati Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 29,318, comprising 14,433 males (49.2%) and 14,885 females (50.8%), with a literacy rate of 79.95%.
