Sainamaina Municipality is one of the 16 municipalities in Rupandehi District of Lumbini Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 78,393, comprising 36,441 males (46.5%) and 41,952 females (53.5%), with a literacy rate of 84.9%. Spanning 162.18 square kilometers, Sainamaina Municipality exhibits the population density of 483 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 11 wards.
According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Sainamaina has 40 schools. Of these, 19 are private and 20 are public.
