As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 29,230, comprising 13,558 males (46.4%) and 15,672 females (53.6%), with a literacy rate of 80.53%. Spanning 219.26 square kilometers, Patan Municipality exhibits the population density of 133 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 10 wards.
