Kohalpur Municipality is one of the 8 municipalities in Banke District of Lumbini Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 101,667, comprising 48,968 males (48.2%) and 52,699 females (51.8%), with a literacy rate of 82.61%. Spanning 184.26 square kilometers, Kohalpur Municipality exhibits the population density of 552 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 15 wards.
