Gurbhakot Municipality is one of the 9 municipalities in Surkhet District of Karnali Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 48,216, comprising 22,183 males (46.0%) and 26,033 females (54.0%), with a literacy rate of 82.83%. Spanning 228.62 square kilometers, Gurbhakot Municipality exhibits the population density of 211 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 14 wards.
