As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 30,588, comprising 14,372 males (47.0%) and 16,216 females (53.0%), with a literacy rate of 80.52%. Spanning 194.39 square kilometers, Galkot Municipality exhibits the population density of 157 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 11 wards.
