Bungal Municipality is one of the 12 municipalities in Bajhang District of Sudurpashchim Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 33,812, comprising 16,037 males (47.4%) and 17,775 females (52.6%), with a literacy rate of 70.05%. Spanning 447.59 square kilometers, Bungal Municipality exhibits the population density of 76 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 11 wards.
