Baglung Municipality is one of the 10 municipalities in Baglung District of Gandaki Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 56,102, comprising 26,080 males (46.5%) and 30,022 females (53.5%), with a literacy rate of 83.53%. Spanning 98.01 square kilometers, Baglung Municipality exhibits the population density of 572 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 14 wards.
According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Baglung has 82 schools. Of these, 17 are private and 62 are public. The breakdown includes 53 pre-schools, 77 basic schools, and 35 secondary schools. Among the secondary schools, 21 offer +2 programs.
