Tilagufa Municipality is one of the 9 municipalities in Kalikot District of Karnali Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 16,197, comprising 8,004 males (49.4%) and 8,193 females (50.6%), with a literacy rate of 71.32%. Spanning 262.56 square kilometers, Tilagufa Municipality exhibits the population density of 62 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 11 wards.
