Kushma Municipality is one of the 7 municipalities in Parbat District of Gandaki Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 38,101, comprising 17,853 males (46.9%) and 20,248 females (53.1%), with a literacy rate of 81.56%. Spanning 93.18 square kilometers, Kushma Municipality exhibits the population density of 409 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 14 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Kushma has 78 schools. Of these, 11 are private and 67 are public. The breakdown includes 62 pre-schools, 73 basic schools, and 25 secondary schools. Among the secondary schools, 11 offer +2 programs.
