Shuklagandaki Municipality is one of the 10 municipalities in Tanahun District of Gandaki Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 55,620, comprising 25,890 males (46.5%) and 29,730 females (53.5%), with a literacy rate of 86.77%. Spanning 165.0 square kilometers, Shuklagandaki Municipality exhibits the population density of 337 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 12 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Shuklagandaki has 76 schools. Of these, 19 are private and 57 are public. The breakdown includes 45 pre-schools, 75 basic schools, and 29 secondary schools. Among the secondary schools, 14 offer +2 programs.
