Bagmati Municipality is one of the 20 municipalities in Sarlahi District of Madhesh Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 47,106, comprising 23,015 males (48.9%) and 24,091 females (51.1%), with a literacy rate of 68.58%. Spanning 101.18 square kilometers, Bagmati Municipality exhibits the population density of 466 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 12 wards.
