Banganga Municipality is one of the 10 municipalities in Kapilvastu District of Lumbini Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 96,714, comprising 45,407 males (46.9%) and 51,307 females (53.1%), with a literacy rate of 81.44%. Spanning 233.68 square kilometers, Banganga Municipality exhibits the population density of 414 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 11 wards.
