Nawalpur, officially known as East Nawalparasi, is one of the 11 districts of Gandaki Province, Nepal. Previously part of the larger Nawalparasi district, Nawalpur was established as a separate district after the federal restructuring in 2015. Located in the western part of central Nepal, Nawalpur is a strategic link between the Terai plains and the hilly regions. The district headquarter of Nawalpur is Kawasoti.
Nawalpur borders Chitwan district in the east, Tanahun and Syangja to the north, Parasi (West Nawalparasi) in the west, and India to the south via the Terai belt.
