Always dreamed of traveling to France to dive into its rich culture of arts and crafts? Take a simple step to turn your wish into reality. UNESCO and the Fondation Culture and Diversité established in France in 2006, call for applications for grants under the ‘Prize travel to learn arts and crafts’, which offers students in arts and crafts from developing countries the opportunity to complete a four month study tour (February to May 2016) in France to learn more about their respective disciplines. The prize provides logistical, financial and strategic assistance to grantees.
Application deadline is 30 November 2015.
UNESCO and the Fondation Culture & Diversité share the belief that culture plays a key role in human development for the sustainability and preservation of the richness of cultural diversity.
The aim of this prize is to enable arts and crafts students to undertake a study tour abroad. It provides additional and complementary training and encourages participants to become more involved in the preservation of craft and cultural heritage.
The “Prize travel to learn arts and crafts” is supported by the General Inspectorate of Applied Arts of the French Ministry of Education, partner schools of applied arts and crafts, and artisan enterprises.
