SCHOLARSHIP FOR MASTER OF SCIENCE IN FORESTRY & ALLIED PROGRAMMES FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2023-2025
The Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, is offering admission to foreign nationals to its flagship ‘Master of Science in Forestry & Allied Programmes’ for the academic year 2023-25. In this regard, the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi, has decided to award 10 scholarships to the students from South Asian countries.

The candidates should submit three set of applications with relevant notarized documents at Education wing of Embassy of India in Kathmandu on or before April 12, 2023 between 09:30 hrs to 12:30 hrs. for further processing.

THE INSTITUTE
Forest Research Institute (FRI) was established in 1878 as a Forest School, later renamed as Imperial Forest Research Institute in 1906. Forest Research Institute is one of the prestigious institutions of Indian Council of Forestry Research & Education (ICFRE). In December 1991, on the recommendation of U.G.C., Ministry of Human Resources & Development, Government of India conferred the status of Deemed University to the Institute. Since then it is playing a vital role in promotion and development of forestry research and education in South Asia.
MEA–FRI SCHOLARSHIP
Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India has decided to award 10 Scholarships per year to the students of South Asian Nations for pursuing PostGraduate Courses at Forest Research Institute Deemed to be University, Dehradun (Uttarakhand) India from 2012-2013 session.

SCHOLARSHIP
The Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India will provide a modest Scholarship amounting to $ 4230 for the full course to each selected student to support Tuition, Sports & Magazine, Library/ Teaching Aid, Hostel and Degree Fees. The Mess charges will be paid by the students themselves. The caution money ($50) which is refunded after the completion of the course, would also be paid by the candidates.
