The Embassy of India, Kathmandu invites applications from Nepalese nationals to study B.Sc. (Hospitality & Hotel Management) course in Indian Universities/Institutions for the academic year 2024-25.
The scholarship scheme is for pursuing B.Sc.(Hospitality & Hotel Management) course in India.

Eligibility:
Applicants should be 25 years or less as of July 1, 2024, and should have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks and a minimum of 50% marks in English in Class XII.
The Last Date for submission of application for this scholarship scheme is August 01, 2024 (Thursday).
How to Apply?
1. The application form may be downloaded from the Indian Embassy website www.indembkathmandu.gov.in and filled in or typed. The candidates should submit the following documents with the application form in three (3) sets:
(a) Latest passport size photographs (duly pasted);
(b) Duly notarized final marksheet/transcript of Class XII;
(c) Copy of passport/Citizenship certificate duly translated in English language and certified by Notary public;
(d) Original Bank Voucher of NRs. 400/-.
2. The application fee of NRs. 400/- should be deposited in favor of Education Wing, EOI, Kathmandu Account No. 17725240200331 of Nepal SBI Bank, anywhere in Nepal not later than August 1, 2024. The application fee once deposited will not be refunded or adjusted.
3. Due care should be taken while exercising choice of Institutes. Candidates are advised to provide at least four choices in the application form from the list of Institutes enclosed in annexure. Embassy reserves the right to change the institute of a student depending upon the placement received from the authorities concerned.
How to Submit Application?
The candidates may submit their applications (complete in all respect) through post / courier or in person at the Education Wing, Embassy of India, Kathmandu between 10.30 am to 12.30 pm from Monday to Friday on or before August 0 1 , 2024 . Application received after the last date of submission of application i.e. August 01, 2024 whether via post/courier or in person will not be accepted.
Please Note:
- Only those candidates who have passed their +2 level (class XII) examinations can apply for the above (Under- Graduate) course. Appearing candidates are not eligible to apply as final marksheet of +2 level (class XII) is to be submitted.
- Candidates are advised to interact solely with the Education Wing, Embassy of India, Kathmandu or Consulate General of India, Birgunj about the scholarship. The candidates should indicate their address, telephone numbers and e-mail address clearly in the prescribed column of the application form. Any change in address/telephone number should be intimated immediately through a email/letter giving complete details of the applicant viz. name, father’s name, scholarship scheme and course applied for.
- Selection will be based on the applicant’s academic record. However, nomination of a candidate by the Embassy does not guarantee admission to any Indian University/College for the above course. Confirmation of admission by the Embassy will be given only after receipt of the same from the concerned Indian University/College. Request for change of College/Institution or transfer of scholarship upon taking admission will not be entertained. The candidates will have no right to reject/withdraw at a later stage/after placement in any institution in India, failing which they will be debarred for future scholarships and would also be required to refund the entire amount spent by the Government of India.
- Submission of incorrect information/incomplete application forms by the candidate may result in forfeiture of the scholarship at any stage.
- The candidates must submit the copy of the requisite documents duly notarized by the Notary Public. Photocopy of the notarized documents will not be accepted.
Important Information
The Embassy of India entertains applications directly from the applicants. The Embassy does not recognize or receive applications through any Education Consultants/Middle men/Agencies in Nepal. Students are advised to beware of such unscrupulous persons/agencies. Applications found to have been received through such agencies/persons are liable to be rejected.
