Kathmandu University has readvertised the fragments of its earlier call for students willing to pursue Ph.D. and Master by Research.

The re-advertised notice calls for students interested in the following research domain:

Master by Research Supported by the Pat Hall Endowment Scholarship

Machine Translation for Nepal's languages

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other IT related degree with CGPA of 2.5 or equivalent
Completion of 16 years of education in total

Kathmandu University invites applications from dedicated, competent, and highly qualified candidates, who are willing to pursue Ph.D. and Master by Research in the following research disciplines and specializations at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering, respectively under the Kathmandu University Research Fellowship Program and the Pat Hall Endowment Scholarship.

  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other IT related degree with CGPA of 3.0 or B grade or equivalent
  • Completion of 18 years of education in Nepal
Nepali Speech Recognition 1
IT for Climate Change or Industrial Revolution 4.0 1  
Master by Research Supported by the Pat Hall Endowment Scholarship Machine Translation for Nepal's languages 1
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other IT related degree with CGPA of 2.5 or equivalent
  • Completion of 16 years of education in total

 Responsibilities of the candidates for both programs

  • A minimum of 10 hours of service to KU every week
  • Other works as per the requirement of the Research Lab
  • Qualified candidates are required to submit a complete proposal along with filled in application form and attested copies of citizenship certificate and academic certificates/transcripts at the Department of Computer  Science and Engineering Kathmandu University by September 14, 2021
  • Only shortlisted candidates would be contacted for further screening and applications procedures
  • the pre-selected applications need to be approved by the Research Committee, School of Engineering for formal admission in the program.
