Scholarships Seats for PCL Nursing-2081

Every Year Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), Examination Controller Division, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur calls for applications for scholarships to study PCL Nursing in its constituent and affiliated institute.

The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) offers classified (free) scholarships to students who want to study the PCL Nursing program at its affiliated (constituent, partnership, community, and private) educational institutions.  

The scholarship quotas are distributed per the "Guidelines for Conducting Entrance Examination, Scholarship Distribution and Admission for Diploma and Certificate Level, 2081."

Eligible Nepali citizens who have passed S.L.C./S.E.E./Pre-Diploma from government, community, and council-affiliated educational institutions in the academic session 2081/082 can apply online for the entrance examination by submitting the online application form.

Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications must select their preferred province, educational institutions, and examination center districts while paying the entrance examination fee online and filling out the online application form. CTEVT allocates 40 seats for enrollment in the PCL nursing program in the affiliated technical schools, so each school has to allocate 3 PCL nursing seats for scholarships.

Distribution of Scholarship Seats

As per section 14 of the CTEVT admission guidelines, the total scholarship seats for the academic session 2081/082 will be allocated 50 percent to the general category and 50 percent to the targeted category, in accordance with section 15(GA).

These seats are divided into two groups:
(a) General Category: Eligible Nepali applicants will be awarded free (classified) scholarships based on the merit list.
(b) Targeted Category: Eligible Nepali applicants from specified targeted groups will be awarded free (classified) scholarships based on the allocated percentage for each cluster. The reserved percentage for targeted groups is as follows:

Scholarship Quota for the Academic Session 2081/082

In the academic year 2080/81, CTEVT is giving scholarships to 159 students to study PCL Nursing programs. The scholarship seats in the provinces are fixed as mentioned in the table.

Scholarships Rules

  1. Students who receive scholarships from CTEVT must serve at a location designated by the Nepal government for a specified time after completing their studies. For this, they must sign an agreement mentioned in the application form.
  2. As per this directive, candidates will receive only one scholarship, which they have chosen, from among the scholarships provided by the CTEVT or other government bodies for educational programs.
  3. If a student is found to have obtained a scholarship by submitting fake documents, the council, at any time, will cancel their registration and recommend action against them as per the prevailing law. Such candidates will not be allowed to participate in any exams the council conducts for five years.
  4. Educational institutions cannot charge fees for training, registration, regular examination application, library, and transportation to practical sites, as per clause 14(6) of the directive, from the candidates recommended for scholarships and admitted. However, candidates must manage their own living expenses, accommodation, uniforms, and necessary stationery during the study period.
  5. Candidates recommended for classified (free) scholarships cannot change the program later.

How to Get the Scholarships 

After the publication of the SEE results, CTEVT announces the opening of applications for scholarship examinations for all its diploma and certificate level programs.
