Master of Science Fellowship by Research Program: Kathmandu University, School of Engineering

Applications for enrollment in the MS by Research Program at the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Kathmandu University (KU), are hereby invited from research oriented and strongly self motivated candidates in the following research areas, under the KU Research Fellowship Program.

Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics or Electronics and Communication Engineering: with CGPA of 2.5 or equivalent
Minimum 16 years of education.

Under the KU Research Fellowship program, the candidate will be waived full tuition fees and in turn will need to provide 10 hours per week of service to the university. The enrollment is full-time and the normal study/research duration is 2 academic years.

Applicants are required to do self study in the stated research area and submit a research proposal in any standard format with a clear statement of purpose or motivation, along with the following documents.

  1. Duly filled application form (Download),
  2. Copy of citizenship certificate,
  3. Application approval letter by concerned institution (If the candidate is working),
  4. Copies of academic degree certificates and transcripts,
  5. Records of Experience,
  6. Latest Curriculum Vitae Resume,
  7. Brief synopsis of the final year project of Bachelor's degree. (100 words),
  8. Copies of the publications (if any).

Only short-listed candidates will be called for interview and final selection. The selected candidate will be formally enrolled after approval of application by the Research Committee of the School of Engineering.
