Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Tangal, Kathmandu, is offering research grants. Three researchers, including one pursuing a master's degree in philosophy at any recognized university or religious campus worldwide will receive the grant.

Minimum Requirements
- The candidate should be enrolled in a master's or bachelor's program in philosophy or any other recognized university or affiliated campus globally.
- Eligibility for this grant is contingent upon the completion of the academic year or semester during which the thesis will be prepared.
- As a prerequisite, the applicant must be a citizen of Nepal. They must affirm their Nepali citizenship and confirm that they have neither obtained nor initiated the process of obtaining a residency permit from any other country.
- Irrespective of the department of the candidate's academic studies, the research paper's primary focus should be on the promotion of ethics and good governance or the control of corruption.
- The official endorsement of the director, advisor, or relevant faculty member appointed by the university for the research work undertaken by the scholar will be considered valid.
- For postgraduate and philosophy degrees, the research dissertation should be completed within 2 years from the date of the agreement between the commission and the applicant, whereas for undergraduate degrees, it should be completed within 4 years from the date of the agreement.
- A commitment must be included in the acknowledgment, as outlined in schedule 2, to allocate the grant received from the commission specifically for research-related activities.
- The applicant must ensure that they have not received any grants from other institutions for conducting research on the same subject matter.
- Copies of educational qualification certificates should be duly attested by the applicant and enclosed with the application.
Required Documents
- Verified copies of educational attainment certificates endorsed by the applicant.
- An official recommendation letter from the university-appointed director, advisor, or relevant faculty member responsible for the researcher's research endeavors.
- Links to published research papers, journals, or research articles authored by the applicant.
- The researcher's reflections on research methodology and research planning (in 200 words).
- Authenticated copy of the research proposal submitted to the respective university or campus.
- Document displaying the grading system and percentage specifications of the pertinent university.
- Copy of the Nepali citizenship certificate.
Amount of the Grant
- Rs. 1,00,000/- (One lakh rupees)
- Rs. 1,50,000/- (One lakh and fifty thousand rupees)
- Rs. 2,50,000/- (Two lakh and fifty thousand rupees)
