Ministry of Social Development, Directorate of Education and Social Development, has announced that notice has been published to inform that scholarships aimed at financially disadvantaged students studying at the Bachelor's and Master's levels in community campuses within Lumbini Province will be provided.
Within 30 days of the notice's publication, the relevant community campuses must invite students to submit applications along with supporting documents that clearly demonstrate their eligibility for the scholarship. After reviewing the applications and necessary documents, the campuses should verify the type of scholarship each applicant qualifies for and submit a consolidated list to the respective Social Development Division Office within 5 days of receiving the application deadline.
Details of Scholarships Available for Students Studying Higher Education in Community Campuses:
- Dalit Student Scholarship
- Janajati Student Scholarship
- Female Student Scholarship
- Madhesi Student Scholarship
- Muslim Student Scholarship
- Conflict Victim Student Scholarship
- Disabled Student Scholarship
- Scholarship for Families of Disappeared Persons, Martyrs, and Injured Persons or their Descendants
- Marginalized and Minority Student Scholarship
Basis for Receiving Scholarship and Documents to be Submitted:
- Student's Application Letter
- For Dalit scholarship, the applicant must be listed in the National Dalit Commission.
- For Janajati scholarship, the applicant must be listed in the Janajati list.
- For disabled scholarship, a copy of the disability identity card (categories A, B, C, D).
- For conflict victim and families of disappeared persons, martyrs, and injured persons or their descendants, the applicant must be a descendant of a person who died due to conflict, or who became more than 50% disabled, handicapped, injured, or disappeared during the conflict period, as determined by the Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction. For conflict victim scholarships, a copy of the conflict-affected certificate issued by the relevant District Administration Office.
- For children of martyrs, the applicant must be a descendant of a person declared a martyr by the Government of Nepal.

For Minority Student Scholarship: The applicant must be a descendant of a caste/ethnicity listed in the Government of Nepal's list of minority groups.

For Madhesi Student Scholarship: Proof of Madhesi identity must be submitted.

Recommendation from the concerned campus: The applicant must be enrolled and regularly studying at the campus with an attendance record of over 70%.

Recommendation letter from the concerned campus: The applicant has not received scholarships from any other source.

Age limit: The applicant must not be over 30 years old.

Bank details of the student: The student's bank name, address, and account number (photocopy of the bank check).

Bank details of the concerned community campus: The campus's bank name, address, and account number (clear photocopy of the bank check).
