The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Department of Information Technology (DOIT), has announced a scholarship program for students pursuing studies in the field of Information Technology.
As per the program under the fiscal year 2081/82, students enrolled in Bachelor's, Master's, M.Phil., or Ph.D. level IT programs at Nepali universities or their constituent/affiliated colleges are eligible to apply. A scholarship amount of NPR 50,000 will be awarded to selected candidates on a quota basis.

- Applicants must submit a formal application in the format prescribed in Schedule 1 of the "Scholarship Procedure for IT Students, 2081."
- Application Starting Date: Baisakh 29, 2082 ( May 12, 2025 )
- Application Deadline: Jestha 12, 2082 (May 26, 2025) within official working hours
- Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted

Applicants must scan the completed application and required documents and email them to: scholarship@doit.gov.np
Required Documents:
- Certified copy of Nepali citizenship certificate
- Certified copies of academic transcripts and certificates
- Recommendation letter from local authority verifying study at a government or community school (if applicable)
- Recommendation from local authority in case of economic hardship
- Recommendation letter from the current academic institution confirming enrollment in an IT program and that no other scholarship is being received
