Eligibility For the disadvantaged targeted scholarship for Grade 6 & 9


The Inclusive Education Section under the Center for Education and Human Resource Development, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Government of Nepal, has issued a notice regarding the selection of students for the Disadvantaged Target Scholarship.

All local levels and public schools are requested to take necessary actions, including updating relevant information in the IEMS system. Selected students will receive an annual scholarship of Rs. 6,000.  

Subject: Regarding the publication of the list of eligible students for the disadvantaged targeted scholarship.    

In the context of the above subject, based on the PMT forms filled by the students studying in class 5 and class 8 of public schools in the academic session 2081, according to the "Disadvantaged Targeted Scholarship Management Standards 2080," the results have been analyzed and the preliminary results of the eligible students for the targeted scholarship for basic and secondary level (classes 6 and 9) have been published herewith.    

In this regard, as per the decision, it is requested to do and facilitate as follows:

Ensure the details of the students who filled the form in class 5 in the academic session 2081 and are regularly studying in class 6 in public schools in the academic session 2082 (only the details of female and male students in the first quartile and only female students in the second quartile).    

In the case of students who filled the form in class 8 in the academic session 2081 and were selected, ensure the details of the students as follows:    

a)  All female and male students in the first quartile studying in class 9 of public schools in the academic session 2082.    

b)  All female students up to the second quartile and male students studying technical subjects in class 9 of public schools in the academic session 2082.    

As per serial numbers 1 and 2 above, the students studying in classes 6 and 9 who are eligible for the scholarship will receive the scholarship amount at the rate of Rs. 6,000 annually. Similarly, male students studying technical subjects in class 9 will also receive Rs. 6,000 annually. For this purpose, arrange to open a bank account for each student by the first week of Jestha, 2082.    

Since the scholarship amount is to be paid to the concerned student's bank account, ensure that the bank account of the scholarship-receiving student is opened through the school and the details are entered in the online EMIS.    

Ensure that the list of students, which is the result published by this center, is published and informed to all through the website of the local level, ward, and school, notice boards, and other means.
