The Chinese Embassy Youth Pioneer Program (CNYP) is an initiative by the Chinese Embassy,with the aimto empower young and patriotic pioneers in Nepal through civic engagement, cultural exchange, professional development, etc. The program seeks to nurture a network of dynamic individuals who have strong desire and enthusiasm to bring change to Nepal society and economy, and are dedicated to becoming game-changers to drive Nepal’s progress.

Objectives
- Leadership Development: Enhance participants' leadership skills through specialized training programs, workshops, and visits.
- Empowering Social Progress: Leverage innovations, ideas, and policies todrive economic and social development, enhancegame-changing capacity for delivering sustainable prosperity, and improving the quality of people’s life.
- Community Engagement: Encourage and support participants in executing community-based projects that address local challenges and needs.
Target participants:
- Age Group: 18-32 years old.
- Profile: Young professionals, activists, and pioneers from various sectors and communities, including business, politics, sociology, culture, and so on, with a strong commitment to game-change for Nepal’s economic growth and social development.
Program Components
- Leadership Training and Workshops:
- A series of interactive workshops focusing on leadership skills and strategic thinking.
- Participants will be encouraged to take an in-depth perspective addressing specific social issues.
- Scholarship and training program will be provided by Chinese side
- Exchange Initiatives:
- Opportunities for exchange programs or tours to China for selected participants, gaining firsthand experience in field studies of Chinese development practices and beyond.
- Networking and Engagement:
- Regular networking events will be organized, featuring guest speakers, panel discussions, and social gatherings.
- Members will have the opportunity to participate in Embassy events, meetings with Chinese diplomats, scholars and entrepreneurs, and take part in special programs.
Selection Process
- Application Submission: Interested candidates shallsend application statement including a resume in English or Chinese, highlighting their leadership experience. Fluent in English or Chinese are preferred.
- Evaluation Criteria: Applications will be assessed based on alignment with CNYP ’s goals.
- Final Selection: The top 10-20 applicants who best meet the criteria will be selected to participate in the program.
Membership Duration
- One-Year Commitment: Participants will be engaged in the program for a year, actively participating in various initiatives, projects, and events.
- Alumni Network: After completing the program, members will join an alumni network that continues to offer engagement opportunities, resources, and support.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Program Participation: Active participation in key events, workshops, and cultural activities is expected.
- Cultural Ambassadors: Members will act as cultural ambassadors, promoting mutual understanding and cooperation between China and Nepal.
