Embassy of India, Kathmandu invites applications from Nepalese nationals desirous of seeking admission to School level courses starting from Class VI to IX and XI ( boys and girls) in Army Public Schools (APS) in APS Pithoragarh (Uttarakhand), Class VI to IX (boys only) for APS Dhaula Kuan (Delhi), and class VI to IX (girls only ) for APS Noida (UP). There are 20 seats for Class VI, 5 for Class XI in Pithoragarh, One seat each from Class VI to IX (Boys only) in Dhaula Kuan and one seat each from Class VI to IX(Girls only) in Noida.
2. Eligibility Criteria:
A candidate desirous to apply should fulfill the following criteria:-
(i) For class VI to IX & XI: 60% marks for Govt school and 70% for private schools. Students applying for class VI and onwards must have passed the examination before applying. Appearing students will not be considered for the next higher class. It is mandatory to submit the copy of final mark sheet of class V and onwards for seeking admission in next higher class.
(i) Short listed candidates would be selected on the basis of interview.
(ii) Candidates having good proficiency in English should only apply.
(iii) Candidates should be medically fit to join APSs.
3. Instructions for filling up of the form:
Application forms (bio-data) may be submitted by post or personally at the Education Wing of Embassy of India, Kathmandu or Consulate General of India, Birgunj by depositing application fee of NRs. 400/-(Four Hundred) only in the Education Wing, EOI, Kathmandu’s Account Number 17725240200331 in any Nepal SBI Bank, anywhere in Nepal not later than January 20, 2015 between 0930 hrs to 1230 hrs. Desirous applicants should submit the following documents along with the original counterfoil of Bank Voucher before the last date (January 20, 2015) .
(a) Complete bio-data of student in English language with one photo pasted .
(b) Date of birth certificate issued by the Municipality duly attested
(c) Mark sheet of last exam passed, duly attested.
(d) Citizenship of father in English Transcript attested by Notary Public.
(e) A certificate from Headmaster/Principal of the school last attended stating that the students has passed last class from Govt or Private school as the case may be and that he/she is proficient in English to join APS.
4. Selection Process:
An interview would be held in the Embassy of India, Kathmandu/Birgunj to select meritorious and deserving students short listed on the basis of screening/marks. Selection of candidates in the interview does not guarantee admission in APS unless their placement is confirmed by respective APSs in India.
