Embassy of India, Kathmandu invites applications from Nepalese candidates for various short-term courses/training programmes in India under ITEC/Colombo Plan for the year 2015-16.
Eligibility
Candidate should meet the criteria of academic/professional qualification and should have minimum experience as specified in the training brochure. Applicants should be medically fit between 25 and 45 years of age. He/She should possess working knowledge of English to follow the course.
If a candidate has already attended a course sponsored by Government of India, He/She is not eligible for ITEC Courses.
When and How to Apply
From the year 2015-16 onwards, applications are required to be filled online by the candidates themselves. Detailed procedure has been outlined at the Embassy of India’s website under ‘ITEC/Colombo Plan Scholarship’.
The duly completed application form should be submitted to Education Wing, Embassy of India, Kathmandu personally by the applicants between 10:00 to 12:00 hours alongwith copies of educational certificates and citizenship 2-3 months before commencement of the course.
Selection process: Candidates will be interviewed at the time of submitting the applications at the Embassy of India, Kaathmandu. Final selection will be made by Indian authorities based on applicant’s academic record, experience and relevance of the course applied for vis-à-vis applicants’ profile.
