Best Rural Municipalities in Nepal –2082: PAN

In an inspiring move to celebrate the critical role of local governance in advancing education, the Principals Association of Nepal (PAN) has announced the Best Rural Municipalities of Nepal for their outstanding contributions to improving education at the grassroots level. These rural municipalities were selected from among Nepal’s 753 local levels, highlighting their transformative leadership, resource mobilization, and innovative practices in the education sector.

The evaluation process was led by Professor Dr. Bidya Nath Koirala, a prominent education expert, and based on key indicators such as investment in school infrastructure, teacher management, student enrollment and retention, and community engagement in education.

Recognition at PAN’s National Conference

The selected rural municipalities were honored during Second National Conference of PAN, which had brought together education leaders from across the country. The event took place at City Hall, Pokhara on June 6, 2025 (23rd Jestha 2082). The theme of the conference was  "Redefining Leadership Dimensions: Pioneering Change for School Excellence"

This prestigious event had gathered more than 1,000 educators, policymakers, and local leaders to share insights on leadership, education innovation, and systemic reforms.
