The Principals Association of Nepal (PAN) has announced the Best Municipalities and Metropolitan City of Nepal in recognition of their outstanding contributions to uplifting school education in their respective regions. These local governments have demonstrated exemplary commitment to improving educational infrastructure, promoting inclusive policies, and ensuring quality learning environments for children and youth.

The recognition was based on a comprehensive evaluation of various municipalities across all provinces. A total of eight municipalities, including one metropolitan city, were selected from across Nepal’s local governments for their visionary leadership and impactful educational initiatives. The selection committee was led by renowned educationist Professor Dr. Bidya Nath Koirala and was grounded on 25 rigorous educational benchmarks.

Award to Be Presented at PAN’s National Conference

These award-winning municipalities were formally honored during the Second National Conference of the Principals Association of Nepal, which brought together education leaders and stakeholders from across the country. This event took place at City Hall, Pokhara on June 6, 2025 (23rd Jestha 2082).  The theme of this conference was  "Redefining Leadership Dimensions: Pioneering Change for School Excellence"
