Premier International IB Continuum School, Nepal's first and only IB Continuum School, recently celebrated artistic creativity and talent through "Expressions," a spectacular visual art exhibition. The event featured over 430 artworks by students from the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP), showcasing the artistic journeys of students from early years to Grade 9 (MYP 4).
The exhibition, themed "Where Imagination Meets Inspiration," highlighted diverse artistic media, including poster colors, watercolors, oil pastels, pencil shading, and acrylics on canvas. Each piece represented the students' creativity and tied directly to their classroom learning, bringing concepts from their academic units to life.
Chief Guest Mr. Sujan Chitrakar, a prominent visual artist, educator, and academic coordinator at Kathmandu University's School of Art, graced the event. Known for his contributions to contemporary Nepali art and education, his presence inspired the young artists and the community. Parents enthusiastically participated, adding vibrancy to the event and showing their unwavering support for the budding talents.
Aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy, the exhibition underscored the importance of art in fostering creativity, cultural understanding, and interdisciplinary thinking.
