United College organized a remarkable Book Release Program on November 18, 2024, bringing together distinguished academicians, dignitaries, and students to celebrate scholarly achievements and intellectual discourse.
The event was honored by the presence of Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Kedar Rijal, Registrar of Tribhuvan University, alongside special guests Prof. Dr. Chitra Budhahoki, Dean of the Faculty of Education at TU, and Prof. Dr. Kushum Shakya, former Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at TU.
The program's highlight was the official unveiling of the second volume of United Luminary and the inaugural volume of the United Journal of Interdisciplinary and Innovative Studies (UJIIS). The release was conducted by prominent academic figures from the United Academy Group: Mr. Drip Chamling, Mr. Nara Hang Rai, Dr. Kabi Raj Bantawa, and Ms. Dipa Chamling, who faculty members and students joined.
The release of these publications underscored United College’s ongoing commitment to advancing academic excellence and fostering intellectual leadership.
The event included insightful reviews and discussions from respected scholars and contributors. Ms. Ritika Shakya, a BBM 8th Semester student, initiated the dialogue with a thoughtful review of the publication, followed by Asst. Prof. Baburam Timsina of Tribhuvan University highlighted the progression in United Luminary Volume II compared to its predecessor, emphasizing its alignment with modern academic standards.
Adding depth to the discussion, Dr. Dasharath Neupane, Head of the Nepal Philosophical Research Centre, reflected on the journal's philosophical and scholarly significance, emphasizing its contribution to both academia and society.
The event also featured speeches from key guests who lauded United College’s dedication to nurturing a culture of research and innovation.
In his concluding remarks, Dr. Lal Rapacha, Campus Chief of United College, extended heartfelt gratitude to all contributors, stakeholders, and attendees for their pivotal roles in making the journal, magazine, and event successful.
The successful launch of United Luminary Volume II and UJIIS Volume I solidified United College’s reputation as a hub for academic growth and innovation, setting a high standard for future scholarly endeavors.
