On May 29, 2026, Softwarica College of IT & E-Commerce, in partnership with Broadway Infosys, hosted the Softwarica Career Fair 2026 and its first-ever Homecoming Alumni Meet at the Kathmandu Marriott Hotel. The dual event brought together over 400 students and 400 alumni to engage with more than 20 of Nepal’s leading technology companies, including Infodevelopers, Foodmandu, Palm Mind Technologies, Amnil Technologies, Infinite Solutions, and The Square. The career fair resulted in over 80 on-the-spot placements in specialized fields such as Software Development, Artificial Intelligence, UI/UX Design, Cybersecurity, Fintech, and Data Science.

The inaugural Homecoming Alumni Meet celebrated sixteen years of graduates, featuring opening remarks from Chairman Mr. Bigyan Shrestha and Campus Chief Mr. Pramod Poudel. During the session, notable alumni shared industry insights, including Mr. Dhiren Lama, Founder of Navanexa Tech, who discussed building global careers, and Ms. Astika Gurung, Lead UI/UX Designer at Diyalo Technologies, who spoke on the impact of digital projects like eSewa. A major highlight was the official launch of the Softwarica Industry Advisory Board (IAB), composed of leaders Santosh Koirala, Manoj (Dhoj) KC, Sanjaya Poudel, and Ashis Kumar Sharma, to align the college’s curriculum with current industry demands.

The event further strengthened international ties through the participation of Ms. Olga Sara from the Institute of Analytics (IoA) in the UK. Her visit marked the signing of an agreement to establish the IoA Nepal Chapter, providing students with exclusive access to global AI and analytics certifications. Additionally, the college unveiled two new learning platforms: MathsLytics, a 50-day program focused on the mathematical foundations of AI and data science, and the Prompt Engineering Mastery Portal. These initiatives aim to deepen the college's ties to the global industry and ensure students are prepared for evolving technological shifts.

Ultimately, these events represent a significant milestone in bridging the gap between academic learning and professional excellence. By fostering direct connections between students, alumni, and industry leaders, Softwarica College has reinforced its position as a central hub for technology talent in Nepal, ensuring its graduates are well-equipped to drive the country's digital economy forward.
