Prime Commercial Bank and Swostishree Gurukul IB Continuum School, in a joint partnership, provided educational and sports materials to three community schools as part of a shared social responsibility initiative.
The program was organized at Swostishree Gurukul IB Continuum School, Nagarjun Municipality-2, Kathmandu, where support was extended to Laxmi Secondary School of Bajura, along with Kalidevi Secondary School and Basuki Secondary School located at Lakuri Bhanjyang, Ward No. 10 of Mahalaxmi Municipality.
Laxmi Secondary School, Bajura received 227 sets of warm clothing, one sound system set, one drum set, and various sports materials. Alongside this, the program marked the announcement of an educational partnership with Kalidevi and Basuki Secondary Schools, with a commitment to support students' extracurricular and co-curricular activities, enhance educational quality, and promote sports development. A cheque of NPR 5 lakh was also handed over on the occasion.
The event was attended by House of Representatives member and former minister Janak Raj Giri; the school's founding chairperson and Province Assembly member Ramkrishna Chitrakar; School Director Mina Maharjan; Principal Neha K.C.; representatives from Prime Commercial Bank; officials from the concerned School Management Committees; social workers; and representatives from Bajura and Lakuri Bhanjyang.
The organizers stated that the program aimed to bring positive change in society through quality, inclusive, and transformative education, while promoting a culture of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and partnership among schools.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks extended to all the guests and supporting organizations, marking the formal handover of the support materials.
