Orientation to Batch of 2079

United College was delighted to welcome its 21st batch of BBS students, 5th batch BBM and 4th batch BCA on 12th December 2022. After a rigorous admission process of two months, students were selected for the three exclusive courses of United College.

The Orientation Program was held on 12th December 2022 from 8:15 am - 12:15 pm. Alumni Richa Subba, kicked off the program by calling honorable dignitaries on the dais - Board of Directors (Dripa Chamling, Dr. Kabi Raj Bantawa, Nara Hang Rai), Academic Team and Faculty Members. 

Then, Principal Dr. Lal Rapcha welcomed all the new graduates with a few words of encouragement and gave a perspective on why the next four years of their lives at United College are extremely crucial in shaping their future. After that, students had an interesting opportunity to get to know each other with a quick round of introduction. 

Moving forward, our Academic Head and Spokesperson took over the stage and spoke regarding United College and how it will be a perfect platform for students to explore their capabilities to the fullest potential. 

Then, we had our Chief Guest of the Orientation Program, Mr. Sanjib Subba, Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Electronic Payment Systems (NePS) on the stage. Mr. Subba contributed to the program by sharing his valuable perspectives on digital advancements. From his experience and current technological transition, he is certain that digitization will continue to evolve. He also shared the story of his daughter who started her own business during the COVID-19 Pandemic; he concluded by saying that one can turn any situation into an opportunity and that it all depends on an individual's mindset.

Following that insightful session, our Academic Coordinator Anup Shakya gave an overview of the overall college experience. He gave an introduction to the college, details of the programs, the culture, expectations and liabilities of students after joining United College. 

The Orientation Program finally concluded with a brief talk session that was given by Prof Dr. Gopal Thapa, Ph.D. to the students  BBM and BBS & Mr. Basanta Chapagain to the  BCA students.
