Kathmandu Model College Hosts Cultural Exchange Program with Korean Universities

Kathmandu Model College (KMC) has successfully hosted the Cultural Exchange Program with Korean universities led by UGC Korea at its Seminar Hall on February 13. The event, aimed at fostering cross-cultural understanding and academic collaboration, brought together faculty members, students, and distinguished guests from both Nepal and Korea.

Associate Prof. Ajaya Prasad Dhakal inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the lamp. The event was followed by a welcome speech from the college Chief,  Surendra Subedi, in front of the Korean delegation. Dhakal highlighted the significance of such exchange programs in enhancing global learning experiences. He explained that cross-cultural collaborations among faculty and students between two nations open up new avenues of learning.

Representing KMC at the event, Adhikari and Robinson Bhandari provided an overview of the college’s educational offerings and student experiences, including their career prospects. Meanwhile, Heeju Oh, a Korean student, shared about her career aspirations and the impact of international exposure on personal and professional growth. On behalf of Korean University, the Korean team leader, a professor from Nambu University, shared insights on academic partnerships and cultural ties between KMC and Korean University.

Adding to the event's vibrancy, students from KMC and Korean universities performed cultural programs, showcasing the rich heritage of both nations. The program also featured an engaging quiz, creating a joyful and interactive session.

The team leader from Korea has also informed us that students from KMC will soon be traveling to Korea as part of the student exchange program, further strengthening academic and cultural ties between the Korean Universities and KMC.

This is the third event of the cultural exchange program between Kathmandu Model College and Korean Universities.

The event was attended by faculty members, Student Quality Circle (SQC) members, club heads, and enthusiastic students from Kathmandu Model College, marking a significant step towards international collaboration and academic excellence.
