IMS College Hosts Inspiring Challenge Briefing for Hult Prize Journey

Institute of Management Studies - IMS College recently held a successful Challenge Briefing session, inspiring students to embark on the transformative Hult Prize journey. The event, hosted by content creator Anushka Phuljel and media coordinator Shreema Gyawali, welcomed esteemed guests Ms. Subi Kafle, National Coordinator, and Ms. Garima Shrestha, National Community Leader.

Ms. Kafle introduced the Hult Prize, outlining its on-campus journey and roadmap for upcoming events. She shared examples of impactful businesses, urging students to align their innovative ideas with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to address real-world problems with sustainable solutions. She also detailed the competition's stages, empowering students to turn their goals into actionable ventures.

Following her talk, Ms. Shrestha shared her inspiring journey to the Hult Prize Summit, providing insights into the global competition and motivating students to aim for the international stage.

The session concluded with a heartfelt appreciation speech by Aryan Maharjan, Business Development Coordinator, who thanked the guests for encouraging student participation. Audience feedback was collected to enhance future events, ensuring a more interactive experience.

The participant forms are now open for IMS College students, with high hopes for active involvement in the Hult Prize journey. This event marked a significant step toward fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and impactful change among students.

The Vision Alignment Session was recently held at IMS College. The event featured prominent guests, including Bikesh Adhikari; Initiator of the Hult Prize at IMS, Saroj Upadhaya; Marketing Director of IMS College, Sujan Regmi; Branch Manager of Jyoti Bikas Bank and Kripa Tuladhar from Arksh Food. The session was made possible with generous sponsorship from Global Tailors, Lava Lounge and Bar, Creative Link Private Limited, Jam Pauroti, Dabur, Jyoti Bikas Bank, Mithila Things, and Arksh Food. The event was hosted by Esha Buddhacharya, Deputy Campus Director, with Shreya Kapali as the co-host.

The session began with a warm welcome to the guests. Sujan Regmi, Branch Manager of Jyoti Bikas Bank, delivered an insightful speech on the relationship between banking and business, emphasizing their support as the banking partner for this initiative.

The keynote speaker, Bikesh Adhikari, delivered an insightful presentation on aligning the Hult Prize Vision with global goals. He emphasized the importance of starting businesses that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to make a meaningful societal impact. Adhikari reinforced his message with examples of past Hult Prize winners, such as Roshini Rides and Eco-Bana, as well as notable Nepali ventures like Smart Krishi, Karkhana, and Khali Sisi, all of which are making valuable contributions to society.

To make the session engaging, Adhikari asked questions and addressed the audience's doubts about the Hult Prize journey. He also highlighted the importance of young minds in driving social innovation through startups. He elaborated on the concept of design thinking, summarized its steps, and briefly discussed how participants could pitch their ideas in the final presentation.

Afterward, the "Vision Wall" activity took place, where participants could share their visions by attaching them to a designated board. Following this, Shreya Tuladhar, a representative from Arks Food, delivered a brief speech expressing support for the Hult Prize at IMS College by becoming a food partner.

Finally, feedback about this event was collected from the audience. Overall, the student promised to join this Hult Prize Journey at IMS College.
