United Alumni organized its first Alumni Mela on 5th August 2022 (Friday). The main goal of this Mela was to reconnect with former students, find out business people, and entrepreneurs within our alumni, and give them exposure within the United family.
10 alumni held their stalls. All the alumni were from different fields and businesses;
- United Dental Care
- Uni Ride TVS
- Blush and Rise Clothing and Wallets,
- Penguin’s Icecreams, Manish Adhikari
- Kombucha Drink and Vedica Skin Care,
- Dhaka Products,
- Hand-made Flowers and Vase,
- Sami Bakery (Vegan Croissant and Bakery),
- Newari Food,
- Children’s Bookstore, and
- Consultancy
With 10 other stalls, the standout of the fair was our alumnus Dr. Jeevan Rai (Batch 2004) who gave free dental checkups to more than 250 students, teachers, and staff of United Academy and United College.

AlumniMela would not have been possible without support from our alumni and coordinators Dr. Jeevan Rai, Mr. Anup Shakya, Mr. Nirmal Sigdel, Mrs. Ramika Shahi, Mrs. Suda Shahi and our recently pass out students.
AlumniMela was initially planned to showcase businesses, startups and products of alumni, however, it became more of a catching up with past friends and teachers. Alumni were all extremely happy and excited to see different generations of United Academy. Many of the alumni rushed to see their favorite teachers and staff as soon they finished going around the stalls.
The Mela started at 10 am, There were happy faces everywhere till the end.
Some of them were astonished by the changes in infrastructure and other aspects of the Academy and College while some shared nostalgic feelings to be back at college. Many haven't been back to college, they loved the new buildings, aesthetic cafe, food and refreshing environment.
One of our favourite things from this Mela was to see how supportive the alumni were. Although they all had different stalls and different brands of business, they were very supportive of each other. We did not see any competitive feeling among any one of them. They were visiting each other’s stalls at times and even purchased from each other.
We had interns from United College and recently passed-out alumni of United Academy. Without them, the Mela would not have been possible. They helped us in setting the stall, crowd management and many more. Two of our alumni from the second batch Mrs. Ramika Shahi and Mrs. Suda Shahi sponsored the lunch that day.
United Academy has initiated an alumni association to create a networking platform for our alumni and also helped us to conduct different events without any hesitation. We are grateful to our college more than ever and will always be thankful for providing us with this platform. We alumni promise to make our college proud by doing the best we can and we promise all our alumni to create a friendly and supportive environment where the alumni can grow and help uplift each other as a family.
