Only 8,267 students registered for the 43rd Convocation of Tribhuvan University;Out of 62,892 eligible graduates.Only 11-12% of eligible students had participated in graduation ceremony for consecutive 3 years.
Why the University is unable to attract more students in the graduation ceremony?
Many students and educationist opines:
- The chaos created during the convocation is the biggest push factor for not attending the ceremony.
- Students are not conferred their graduation certificates from Chancellor or Vice- Chancellor of the university.
- Students have to wait in a queue for hours to receive their certificates.
Many other universities organize different graduation ceremony for different faculty, whereas TU organizes a single graduation ceremony in a year for all. This causes chaos and students are not attracted towards the ceremony.
