The University Grants Commission (UGC) Nepal has granted Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA) certification to three higher education institutions on April 27, 2026, recognizing their commitment to maintaining academic quality and institutional standards.
The newly accredited institutions include Khwopa College of Engineering in Bhaktapur, Haraiya Multiple Campus in Rupandehi, and Parroha Multiple Campus in Rupandehi. The accreditation was awarded after the institutions successfully met the quality benchmarks set by UGC Nepal through a rigorous evaluation process.
According to UGC, the QAA certification reflects a comprehensive assessment of academic programs, institutional governance, infrastructure, teaching-learning practices, research activities, and student support services. The process includes preparation of a Self-Study Report (SSR), peer review, and on-site evaluations.
The certification is valid for five years, during which the institutions are expected to maintain and further enhance their academic and administrative practices in line with national quality assurance standards.
