Tribhuvan University (TU) has issued an urgent notice directing affiliated campuses and colleges to proceed with payment for on-site feasibility studies of newly proposed academic programs under its Faculty of Management.
The notice follows earlier announcements published on 2082/06/27 by the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, Planning Directorate, and on 2082/06/28 by the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Management. This study will be conducted for campuses that applied to add new programs or sections under the Faculty of Management.
The regular academic programs include Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) and Master of Business Studies (MBS). while the special academic programs include BBA, BBM, BITM, BPA, BHM, BTTM, MHM, MTTM, and MITM.
According to the university, campuses that secure at least 60 out of 100 marks in the self-assessment, as per the Executive Council’s decision (No. 105, dated 2082/05/14), will be eligible for the on-site feasibility study.
For this purpose, affiliated campuses inside the Kathmandu Valley are required to pay NPR 55,000 per program, while those outside the valley must pay NPR 70,000 per program. The university has instructed institutions to deposit the required amount within 15 days of the notice publication in the designated bank account of the Dean’s Office.
Campuses must also submit the original payment voucher to the account section of the Faculty of Management after completing the deposit process.
The university stated that the move aims to streamline the evaluation process for expanding academic programs under its management faculty.
