Tribhuvan University Students Face Challenges Due To Delays In Exam Results And Conduct

The Office of the Controller of Examinations at Tribhuvan University has cautioned students against disclosing the results of semester exams within three months and annual system exams within six months.

Furthermore, the Office of the Controller of Examinations has yet to release the annual examination results for first-year humanities and social sciences conducted in the previous Baisakh (2079). Consequently, students have been advised against scheduling examinations.

Students have voiced concerns about campaigns obstructing nationwide exams, emphasizing the urgency of conducting semester system exams within three months and annual system exams within six months.

Students have highlighted the detrimental impact of delayed exams and results at Tribhuvan University, likening it to a significant issue. Durga Bahadur S.C., President of the Butwal Multiple Campus Students Union, expressed dismay at TU's negligence, stressing its adverse effects on students' mental well-being and the university's educational integrity.

He further emphasized that the Office of the Controller of Examinations must address the prolonged delay in releasing results for first-year undergraduate exams conducted in the previous Baisakh. He added that until these results are published, the Office of the Controller of Examinations will be informed that the four-year annual program at the Butwal Multiple Campus will refrain from conducting examinations.

Tribhuvan University operates on a two-batch system, with new and old batches in each designated timeframe. Similarly, there are separate new and old batches in the second year. Students from the old second batch are still awaiting examination schedules, while the new second-year class is underway.
