Tribhuvan University, the oldest and largest university in Nepal, has been officially recognized for initiating the largest number of students at one time. The prestigious world record was awarded to the university during its 49th convocation ceremony held on December 18, 2023.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University, Prof. Dr. Shivlal Bhushal, proudly accepted the certificate from the official world record representatives who were present at the ceremony.
This year, a staggering 73,749 students were deemed eligible for initiation, showcasing the university's expansive reach and influence in the education sector. Out of this impressive number, 12,415 students were officially initiated, marking a momentous occasion for both the university and the students embarking on their academic journey.
The convocation ceremony was attended by esteemed representatives from the official world record organization, highlighting the global significance of Tribhuvan University's accomplishment.
