About Tribhuvan University
Established in 1959 A.D, Tribhuvan University is the most popular and the first national institution of higher education in Nepal. Covering an area of 154.77 hectares it has 60 Constituent Campuses and 1,084 affiliated colleges all over the country. The university offers 2,079 undergraduate programs and 2,000 postgraduate programs across its many affiliated institutions.
Tribhuvan University is the 11th largest university in the world, in terms of the number of students enrolled. Prime Minister of Nepal is the Chancellor of the University and the University is funded mostly by the government making it affordable in comparison to other academic institutions of the country.

According to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2019, Oxford University of United Kingdom (UK) remains the best University of the world for the third consecutive year followed by Cambridge University (UK) and Stanford University of the States. Tsinghua University of China becomes the best University of Asia followed by the National University of Singapore.
