Tribhuvan University is planning to allow campuses to conduct annual examination

Tribhuvan University had organized various programmes such as interaction programmes, documentary show and tree plantation for a week to celebrate 55th day.  It also feted 219 teachers and employees of TU who have served the university for more than 25 years with Long Service Medal (Dirgha Sewa Padak) and certificates. 

Speaking at a programme organised by Tribhuvan University (TU) on the occasion of 55th TU day, Yesterday, Prof Guna Nidhi Neupane, said TU was planning to allow campuses to conduct annual examination themselves in the next three years.  Prof Guna Nidhi Neupane is the rector of Tribhuvan University.


“TU was going to give this autonomy to campuses to ensure academic excellence,” he said. He informed that semester system would be implemented in all campuses under TU within three years.

TU has already implemented semester system in campuses on the premises of TU and in the central departments from last year.

He said, “Semester system in TU has made students regular. ‘Part-time’ students have changed into ‘full-time’ students now in the semester system. This will improve the quality of education.”
