Tribhuvan University’s Curriculum Development Center (CDC) has released an important notice concerning the equivalency of degrees obtained from foreign universities. According to the CDC, students who have pursued their higher education abroad but failed to meet the given criteria will not be eligible to receive academic equivalency for their degrees.
The university specifically highlighted that equivalency will not be granted if:
- Students enrolled in bachelor’s level programs before receiving their Grade XII results.
- Students participated in first-semester exams without formal university admission.
- They followed a “single entry” system for semester exams without completing the required admission process.
- The degree was obtained within four years or less in programs that usually take longer.
- More than two regular semester exams were taken within a single academic year.
Tribhuvan University has urged students and stakeholders to ensure compliance with the mentioned conditions to avoid issues in acquiring degree equivalency.
